The municipal parking lots hereinafter described
now established by the City of Crystal Lake shall be under the supervision
of the Chief of Police.

It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle in any of said lots unless the following prescribed daily fee has been paid; it shall be unlawful to park in said lots between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., such hours having been designated as the time for routine maintenance of said lots unless otherwise designated. Any person found guilty of violating the provisions of this section shall be fined as set forth in Chapter
248, Fines, in addition to any costs or charges connected with the removal or storage of any motor vehicle authorized under this section. In addition to the fine, all such tickets paid more than 30 days after issuance shall incur a late payment administrative fee charge as set forth in Chapter
248, Fines.

A. Those lots or portions of lots designated for paid public parking
on a daily basis shall have an established rate of $1.50 per day,
or $1.35 per day, with an authorized resident discount card per vehicle
per day. Beginning January 1, 2018, those lots or portions of lots
designated for public parking on a daily basis shall have an established
rate of $1.50 per day, with no discounted daily rate. From 4:00 p.m.
to the following day at 2:00 a.m. and on weekends, no fee will be
required for those areas designated as daily rate parking.
B. Parking for those lots or portions of lots designated for paid public
parking can also be pre-paid. Pre-paid parking passes are valid for
one month and cost $30. Six consecutive passes may be purchased for
a combined cost of $170. One full calendar year may be purchased for
a combined cost of $330. The effective dates of the pre-paid parking
passes are the first of each calendar month through the last day of
each calendar month. Pre-paid parking passes can be purchased anytime
within the valid period for the fee stated in this section.

The following areas shall be designated as City
parking lots for purposes of this article:
A. The off-street parking areas bounded by Grant Street
on the west, Main Street on the east, Woodstock Street on the south
and the Chicago and North Western Transportation Company on the north.
B. The parking area located on the south side of Railroad
Street between Grant Street and Main Street and Grant Street and Second
Street.
C. The parking area (commonly known as the "Alexander
Parking Lot") bounded by Grant Street on the east, Walkup Avenue on
the west, Woodstock Street on the south, and the Chicago and North
Western Transportation Company right-of-way on the north.
D. The off-street parking area bounded by Ellsworth Street
on the west, Beardsley Street on the north and the Chicago and North
Western Transportation Company right-of-way on the east and south.
E. The designated off-street parking area bounded by
Railroad Street on the south and Second Street on the west.
F. The off-street parking area bounded by Main Street
on the west and the Chicago and North Western Transportation Company
on the north.
Signs shall be posted designating said areas
as City parking lots and giving notice that the spaces therein are
reserved to persons complying with this article.

The municipal permit parking areas hereinafter
described now established by the City of Crystal Lake shall be under
the supervision of the Chief of Police.
It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle in
said lots without displaying proof of permit to park in said lots
except between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. the following
day, and all day Saturday, Sunday and City-observed holidays when
any vehicle may park in said lots without displaying proof of permit.
Any vehicle displaying proof of permit may park in said lots at any
time.
Permit parking areas are those designated by
City ordinance where proof of permit is required in a municipal parking
lot.
Signs shall be posted designating said area
as a City permit parking lot and giving notice of the parking limitations.
