No person shall post, place or distribute any bills, posters, or advertisements
of any kind upon any sidewalk, tree or other place within the Borough of Rocky
Hill, except upon the building where the merchandise advertised in such bills,
posters or advertisements shall be offered for sale, without the written authority
of the Mayor and Chairman of the Committee on Streets, to whom is hereby given
authority to designate the times, places and manner in which such bills, posters
or advertisements may be placed or distributed.
Each and every person violating any of the provisions of this chapter
shall, upon conviction thereof, forfeit and pay a fine of not more the $20,
or be imprisoned in the county jail for not more than 10 days, and the officer
before whom any such person may be brought may impose such punishment by fine
or imprisonment in the county jail as he may see fit, not exceeding the maximum
herein fixed.[1]
