Every person is hereby prohibited from moving, defacing or otherwise damaging any traffic signals, traffic signs or other signs installed and owned by the Village of McGraw.
Except as otherwise provided by the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York, a violation of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both, and the Justice before whom any person violating this chapter may be convicted may also impose the requirement that the property so damaged or moved shall be restored and repaired at the expense of any such person.
