There is hereby established the office of Municipal Clerk/Administrative Officer for the Borough of Allendale.
The Municipal Clerk shall be appointed for a term of three years in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:9-133.
The Municipal Clerk shall perform the duties and functions as set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:9-133e.
A. 
Serve as Administrative Officer representing the Mayor and Council;
B. 
Attend all meetings of the Mayor and Council as needed;

Make recommendations as to administrative operations of the Borough;
D. 
Receive and reply to general inquiries concerning Borough business and provide information as necessary;
E. 
Supervise the administrative staff at Borough Hall;
F. 
Oversee maintenance of personnel records of Borough employees;
G. 
Report to the Mayor and Council as necessary;
H. 
At the direction of the Mayor and Council, compile and release public information;
I. 
Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Mayor and Council;
J. 
Coordinate staff schedules;
K. 
Administrative coordinating point for all departments.

The compensation for the Municipal Clerk/Administrative Officer shall be as the Borough Council from time to time provides for in the annual Salary Ordinance and implementing resolutions.[1]
