This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Uniform Town of
Niagara Appearance Ticket Local Law."
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
APPEARANCE TICKET
An appearance ticket shall be defined for the purposes of this chapter
as a written notice issued and subscribed by a police officer or other public
servant authorized by Article 150 of the Criminal Procedure Law of the State
of New York and shall conform in form and substance to the requirements of
the Criminal Procedure Law, as amended.
PUBLIC SERVANT
A person duly designated by the Town Board as the Code Enforcement
Officer, appointed police officer or constable, including the Chief of Police,
the Superintendent of Sewer and Water, the duly elected Highway Superintendent
of the Town of Niagara, or their duly designated deputies.
