A. Whenever the owner of a limousine or livery service,
as defined in N.J.S.A. 48:16-13, has his or its place of business
located within the Township of Jefferson, said owner shall annually
file for a license, valid January 1 to December 31 of each calendar
year, to be issued by the Township Clerk in accordance with N.J S.A.
48:16-17.

B. Any owner of a limousine or livery service, as previously
defined, seeking such a license shall pay to the Township Clerk an
annual licensing fee of $50 for each limousine service, plus $10 for
each limousine or vehicle covered under the required insurance policy.
Said license shall be nontransferable and the fee shall be nonrefundable.

Each owner seeking a license for a limousine under §
309-1 above shall comply with the following requirements:
A. The owner shall maintain a physical business location within the
Township of Jefferson.
B. The owner shall submit to the Municipal Clerk proof of liability
insurance, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 48:16-14, issued by an insurer
licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey, having a minimal
coverage of $1,500,000. The owner shall submit a full copy of the
policy, issued by its insurance company, authorized to do business
in the State of New Jersey, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 48:16-14,
as may be amended, and notification to said insurance company to notify
the Township of Jefferson Clerk in the event that the insurance is
cancelled for any reason.

A. The Township Council shall have the right to revoke any license issued pursuant to §
309-1 above in the event that any of the following occurs:
(1) The owner shall cease to carry the required liability insurance.
(2) The owner ceases to maintain a physical business presence within
the Township of Jefferson.
(3) The owner has been found to violate any state statutes related to
the operation of the limousine business.
B. In the event that the Council wishes to consider terminating any
license for the above reasons, notice shall be served upon the license
holder, and the license holder shall have a right to a hearing on
said revocation before the Township Council.

Any person or entity who or which shall violate any provision
of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a penalty
of a maximum fine of $1,250, imprisonment for not more than 90 days,
or a period of community service for not more than 90 days, or any
combination thereof, in addition to the revocation of any license.
