A.
Fees and charges of the Town of Rhinebeck for such matters as licensing, redemption and adoption of dogs, permits for public mass gatherings, license and application fees for peddling and solicitation, replacement of lost licenses, copies of records, building permits, certificates of occupancy, certificate of occupancy searches, application fees for the Zoning Board of Appeals and Planning Board, transfer station fees, Town Clerk fees, Town recreation fees, inspection fees, and other similar Town fees and charges shall be set forth in a fee schedule established by the Town Board by resolution.
B.
The Town Board shall, each year, at its organizational meeting, readopt its fee schedule for the new Town fiscal year. The Town Board shall also have the power to amend the fee schedule, from time to time, in its discretion when circumstances warrant such changes to the fee schedule.
C.
The Town Board shall also have the power to waive certain fees in conjunction with Town sponsored public events such as community days and/or parades, if the Town Board determines that the waiver of such fees would be in the public interest.
D.
The Town shall establish a fee schedule pursuant to this chapter no later than December 31, 2006. Until the time of the establishment of the fee schedule, the Town Board may continue to utilize its existing fee schedules and the fees that had been set forth in Chapter A126, Article I of the Town of Rhinebeck Code.[1]
