[Adopted 6-12-1974 (Ch. 40, Art. I, of the 1971 Code)]
This article shall be referred to as the "Town of Newfane Parking Ordinance."
The Town Board hereby designates that parking shall be prohibited at all times on the following streets located within the Hamlet of Olcott, Town of Newfane:
A. 
The south side of Main Street from the intersection of Lockport-Olcott Road westerly to the east bank of Eighteen Mile Creek.
B. 
The west side of Cooper Street.
C. 
West Creek Road: the entire area of the triangle at the intersection with Old Wilson-Burt Road; a distance of 1,000 feet north and south from said intersection along both the east side and west side of West Creek Road; and the full length of the remaining portion of Old Wilson-Burt Road from the intersection with West Creek Road easterly to the terminus of Eighteen Mile Creek on both sides of said road.

D. 
Such additional areas, roads and streets as the Town Board or Town Superintendent of Highways may, from time to time, designate by posting appropriate signs and publishing one time a public notice of such designation in the official Town newspaper.

Fire lanes may be established in shopping centers and parking areas of other commercial establishments. Such lanes shall be designated by the owner or primary tenant of the premises in conjunction with the Fire Chief of the fire company primarily servicing said area. Such fire lanes shall be marked and laid out with the approval of the Town Board, and upon such approval, parking shall be prohibited at all times within said areas so designated as fire lanes.

The Town of Newfane Justice Court shall have jurisdiction to determine violations of this article, which shall be punishable by a maximum fine of $250 for each and every violation thereof.
