A. 
Whenever the Mayor or the Chief of Police of this municipality has declared that a snow emergency exists due to the covering or partial covering of any of the street in the municipality by snow, sleet or freezing rain, no vehicle shall be permitted to park on any of the streets, designated to be subject to the snowstorm emergency, until such emergency has been declared over by the said Mayor or Chief of Police.
B. 
Parking of disabled vehicles prohibited. Disabled vehicles shall not be parked on any of the streets of the Borough at any time.
C. 
Removal of vehicles authorized. The Chief of Police is authorized and empowered to take possession of and to remove any disabled vehicle at any time and any parked vehicle or vehicle abandoned so as to obstruct traffic or snow removal on any of the streets of the municipality during such times as the snowstorm emergency is in effect.
A. 
Upon the declaration of an emergency, there shall be no parking upon the streets or locations where temporary "Emergency No Parking" signs are displayed. The Chief of Police or, in his/her absence, the ranking police officer is authorized to declare an emergency and to direct the posting of "Emergency No Parking" signs when such conditions are in the interest of the public safety, health, and welfare of the residents and visitors to the Borough. Notification that "Emergency No Parking" signs are being or will be posted shall be given to the operator or owner of any vehicle which has been parked prior to the posting of the signs.
B. 
The effectiveness of this subsection is contingent upon the signs being erected as required by law.
C. 
Removal of vehicles authorized. The Chief of Police is authorized and empowered to take possession of and to remove any parked vehicle or vehicle abandoned in violation of this section.
