No person shall keep within the limits of this Town, in any building or on any premises of which he may be the owner, lessee, tenant or occupant, any cows, goats or any live animal, bird or reptile without a permit from the Board of Health. All such permits expire annually on ________ and may be revoked by the Board at any time for cause. Applications therefor shall be on forms provided at the office of the Board and shall be acted upon within 30 days or such other definite time as the Board may find reasonable for its purposes.
The owners or persons in control of any building or premises in which cows, goats, live fowl, horses or swine or any live animal, bird or reptile is kept shall keep the buildings and premises clean and free from decaying food, filth, dirt and stagnant water. The buildings and pens shall be whitewashed or disinfected and put in such condition as may be ordered by the Board of Health.
The owner or other person or persons having control of an existing building or buildings hereafter erected or converted into a barn or barns for the stabling of horses or other domestic animals shall keep the barns, stables and yards clean and shall provide a pit constructed of cement or other suitable material for the reception of manure and other refuse matter. Wherever a public sewer is accessible, the Board of Health may, if it deems it advisable, order the connection of such building with such public sewer.

On a parcel under five acres any related structure shall be to the rear of the property's primary building, and at least 25 feet from side and rear property lines.
Live fowl shall be confined at all times and shall not be permitted to run at large.
During the months of May, June, July, August and September, manure shall be removed from all pits once every seven days unless kept in covered or screened manure pits.
No person shall keep any fowl in any building used as a dwelling.
No roosters shall be kept in a residential area.
The Board or its agent may interview abutters for their approval or objection before acting on such applications.
Manure shall be spread upon land only when such land is in condition to plow, and any manure so spread shall be plowed under within 48 hours.
