No person, firm or corporation shall keep a piggery within the Town of Franklin. The keeping of four pigs at any one time shall constitute a piggery.
A. 
No person shall keep a pig within 75 feet of a dwelling or tenement owned or occupied by any person other than his own family.
B. 
No person shall keep two or more pigs within 100 feet of a dwelling or tenement owned or occupied by any person other than his own family.
C. 
No person shall keep a pig(s) within 100 feet of any adjacent abutter's property lines.
No person, firm or corporation shall keep a pig(s) in compliance with this article without a permit from the Board of Health. This permit shall expire on December 31 of said year of issuance and shall be renewed on an annual basis thereafter as applicable upon payment of a fee, as established by the Board of Health. Said permit may be revoked for just cause at anytime by the Board of Health.
This article shall become effective 60 days from the date of approval. Failure to comply with this article shall be punishable as provided for in MGL c. 111, § 157.
