Any plumbing done in Conewago Township shall comply with the CABO/BOCA Code currently being enforced within the Township and must be done by or under the supervision of a person holding a master plumber's license approved by the Township Manager or other designated Township representative. The master's license may be granted upon presentation of a master's plumbing license from adjacent jurisdictions that require written testing or by submission of written proof that the applicant has completed the necessary courses and testing to qualify as a certified master plumber. The Conewago Township license annual fee shall be as set from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors, renewable during January of each calendar year, and issued to the owner or a senior employee of the plumbing contractor/company that has qualified as an individual to hold the master plumber's license. The license holder shall be responsible for any plumbing work done by himself or any company employee under his supervision within Conewago Township.
Any plumbing work performed in Conewago Township may be inspected by the Code Enforcement Officer or his designated representative at any reasonable time. All plumbing work done under a plumbing permit shall be inspected as scheduled by the Code Enforcement Officer or other designated Township representative.
A. 
A resident homeowner may repair or do routine maintenance on interior plumbing, including replacement of fixtures, without a permit if standard exposed connections are used.
B. 
Replacement of concealed water, drain, or vent lines within a residential structure will require a plumbing permit and be performed by a licensed plumber.
