There shall be appointed annually by the Board
of Health, at the first regular meeting in January of each year, a
suitable person to be Registrar of Vital Statistics in and for the
Borough of Rutherford.
In addition to the duties prescribed by law
to be performed by such officer, the Registrar of Vital Statistics
shall perform such other duties as may from time to time be required
by the Board of Health. He shall, in addition to transmitting all
certificates of marriages, births and deaths received by him to the
State Bureau of Vital Statistics, report the same to the local Board
of Health at least once in each month.
The return of all marriage, birth and death
certificates required by law or by an ordinance of the Board of Health
to be made by physicians, midwives, nurses, clergymen, magistrates
and other persons professionally officiating at such marriage, birth
or death shall be made to the Registrar of Vital Statistics.

Certified copies of marriage, birth or death
records, certified copies of certificates of domestic partnerships
and vital records abstract certifications, certified to be correct
under the seal of the Board of Health Registrar of Vital Statistics
shall be issued upon payment a fee of $5 for each certified copy.
