The Mayor and Township Council shall be authorized and may regulate
and control the use of highways and streets of the municipality for
processions, parades, block dances, coaster derby races, road races
and other races and for sporting, recreational and public events,
and for said purpose may provide for the temporary closing of said
streets and highways to other traffic.
