Fees for building permits pursuant to the State of Connecticut Basic Building Code shall be determined by estimating the value of the cost of construction based upon the Marshal and Swift Cost Handbook or other nationally recognized cost schedule.
Fees shall be charged for the following.
A. 
Fire Code compliance inspection for one- or two-family dwellings. All other occupancies to be charged on a per-case basis based on 33 1/3% of the building permit fee.
B. 
Building Code compliance inspection for one- or two-family dwellings. All other occupancies to be charged on a per-case basis based on 33 1/3% of the building permit fee.
C. 
Plan review fee for Fire Code compliance in other use groups. This fee is included in the building fee if the structure is built.
D. 
Residential Building Code compliance plan review fee is incorporated into the building fee if the structure is built.
E. 
Plan review fee for all other use groups is incorporated into the building fee if the structure is built.
F. 
Building permit fee includes all plan reviews if the structure or appurtenance is built. This fee applies to all mechanical construction also.
G. 
Filing fee for mechanical construction permits if building fee reflects entire mechanical construction cost only.
H. 
Certificate of occupancy fee paid upon building permit application.
I. 
Demolition permit fees shall be based on the cost of demolishing the structure.
J. 
Special services will be charged on a per-case basis and the costs will be borne by the applicant. Said fee will be determined by the building official, his representative or by resolution of the Tolland Town Council.
All applications for building permits shall be filed with the Building Official on forms provided by the building official. The Council shall by resolution adopt a fee schedule as deemed appropriate, and these fees may be amended as the Council sees fit.[1]
