Any person or corporation or officer thereof
who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter or who fails
to comply therewith or with any of the requirements thereof or who
shall build or alter or move any building in violation of any detailed
statement or plan submitted and approved thereunder shall be guilty
of a violation and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by
a fine of not less than $1,000 and not to exceed $2,000 or by imprisonment
for a term not exceeding 15 days; and each day such violation shall
be permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense and shall
be punishable therefor as provided herein. The owner or owners of
any building or premises or part thereof where anything in violation
of this chapter shall be placed or shall exist and any lessee, architect,
builder, contractor, agent, person or corporation employed in connection
therewith who may have assisted in the commission of any such violation
shall each be guilty of a separate offense and, upon conviction thereof,
shall be punishable as herein provided.
