The purpose of this article is to establish a fee schedule for the use of the South Plainfield Police Department Outdoor Firing Range by other law enforcement agencies and for the maintenance and administrative expenses incurred by the Borough of South Plainfield in said use.

The fees to be charged to law enforcement agencies of the State of New Jersey and political subdivisions shall be as follows: $100 per day.
The law enforcement agencies of the State of New Jersey and its political subdivisions shall provide the necessary insurance coverage to protect the Borough of South Plainfield, its officials and employees. The said law enforcement agencies shall be required to provide workers' compensation insurance for its personnel, as well as liability insurance and any other type of insurance deemed appropriate by the Borough of South Plainfield for the use of the outdoor firing range. The Borough of South Plainfield shall be named under the said insurance policies, with the exception of the workers' compensation insurance, and copies of said insurance policies shall be provided to the Chief of Police of the Borough of South Plainfield or his designee. In addition, the appropriate officials of the law enforcement agency for the state, or its political subdivisions, using the said outdoor firing range, shall execute a written agreement indemnifying the Borough of South Plainfield, its employees and officials.
