All water closets and other plumbing fixtures
connected with a sewer must be provided with a sufficient supply of
water for flushing, to keep them in proper and clean condition.
There shall be a stop and waste cock or valve
inside of front wall of building, so placed as to control all water-supply
piping.
No water pipe shall be placed where it will
be liable to freeze. Where any plumbing fixtures are installed on
the outside wall and supply pipes leading to the same are in the partition
of the said wall, they must be properly protected from freezing by
a packing of mineral wool or other approved insulation.
No plumbing fixture, device or construction
shall be installed which will provide a cross-connection between a
distribution system of water for drinking and domestic purposes and
a drainage system, soil or waste pipe, so as to permit or make possible
the backflow of sewage or waste.
