The purpose of this district is to delineate those areas best suited for industrial use because of location, transportation, topography, existing facilities and relation to other land uses and to preserve the integrity of the manufacturing areas by excluding uses which are incompatible with industry.
In any M-1 Manufacturing District, no building shall be erected or extended and no land or building or part thereof shall be used, except for any of the following purposes:
A. 
Hotel, motels.
B. 
Retail stores.
C. 
Business, professional and governmental offices.
D. 
Financial institutions.
E. 
Personal service shops.
F. 
Radio, television and household appliance shops.
G. 
Public utility structure or use.
H. 
Food locker.
I. 
Printing shop and heating, air-conditioning, plumbing and electrical business and similar uses customarily utilizing hand fabrication methods.
J. 
Laundry or dry-cleaning shop.
K. 
Wholesale, storage and warehouse facilities.
L. 
Yards for the storage and sale of lumber, wood, feed, fuel and similar products, but not salvage yards, junkyards and like uses.
M. 
Industrial uses employing electric power or other unobjectionable motor power or utilizing hand labor for fabrication or assembly and which cause or emit no objectionable odors, fumes, dirt, vibration, glare, electrical interference or noise beyond the immediate site of the building or buildings in which such uses are conducted.
The following special uses shall be permitted upon authorization of the Board of Appeals:
A. 
Drive-in food service.
B. 
Bowling alley.
C. 
Auto wash.
D. 
Gasoline station.
E. 
Wind energy conversion systems.
F. 
Dish antennas.
G. 
Day-care center.
