Town of Great Barrington, MA Article III Conservation Commission

§ 4-4 Acceptance of authority.

The Town voted to accept the provisions of MGL c. 40, § 8C, authorizing the Board of Selectmen to appoint a Conservation Commission, and the provisions of MGL c. 40, § 5, Clause (51), providing for the operation and maintenance of said Conservation Commission.

§ 4-5 Appointment.

The Board of Selectmen is hereby directed, within 30 days of the acceptance of this Article by vote of the Town Meeting, to appoint a Conservation Commission composed of seven members.

§ 4-6 Establishment of fund.

The Conservation Commission so established is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $50 for the purposes of the law, said sum being hereby appropriated to the Conservation Fund, which is hereby established.
