[Adopted 2-9-2006 as Ch. 13 of the 2006 Code of the Borough of High Bridge]
In accordance with and pursuant to the authority of P.L. 1999, c. 185 (N.J.S.A. 39:4-50) the following is a list of school crossings which are so designated by the Borough of High Bridge:
A. 
Larrison Road and Fairview Avenue.
B. 
Mine Road and Thomas Street.
C. 
Thomas Street and Church Street.
D. 
Mill Street at the Columbia Trail.
The maps designated as "Exhibit A High Bridge Elementary School" and "Exhibit B High Bridge Middle School" and adopted as the "Drug-Free School Zone Map" by the Code of the Borough of High Bridge are hereby approved and adopted by reference as displaying the locations and areas within the Borough of High Bridge which are used for school purposes and which are owned by or leased to any elementary or secondary school on school land and of the areas on or within 1,000 feet of such school property. The aforesaid maps shall also be collectively known as the "Drunk-Driving-Free School Zones Map."[1]

The Drunk-Driving-Free School Zones Map approved and adopted in § 160-2 shall constitute an official finding and record of the location and boundaries of areas on or within 1,000 feet of property owned by or leased to any elementary or secondary school or school board which is used for school purposes and shall continue as such unless and until this article shall be amended to reflect any additions or deletions with respect to the location and boundaries of school property and drunk-driving-free school zones. The list of school crossings designated in § 160-1 shall constitute an official finding and record of the location of school crossings and shall continue as such unless and until this article shall be amended to reflect any additions or deletions with respect to school crossings.
The school board or the chief administrative officer, in the case of any private or parochial school, is hereby directed and shall have the continuing obligation to notify the offices of the Borough Clerk, Engineer, and Attorney of any changes in the location and boundaries of any property owned or leased to any elementary or secondary school or school board which is used for school purposes or of any additions or deletions of school crossings.
The Borough Clerk is hereby directed to keep on file the original of the map approved and adopted in § 160-2 and any amendments thereto, and the list of school crossings designated in § 160-1 and any amendments thereto; and, to provide at a reasonable cost in accordance with law, a true copy thereof to any person who may request a copy thereof. It is further directed that a true copy of such map, the school crossing list, and this Chapter 160, Article I, of the Code of the Borough of High Bridge shall be provided without cost to the Clerk and the Prosecutor of Hunterdon County.
The map and list approved and adopted by this Chapter 160, Article I, of the Code of the Borough of High Bridge were prepared and intended to be used as evidence in prosecutions arising under the criminal and traffic laws of the State of New Jersey and, pursuant to law, such map and list shall constitute prima facie evidence of the following:
A. 
The location of elementary and secondary schools within the Borough;
B. 
The boundaries of the real property which is owned by or leased to such schools or a school board;
C. 
That such school property is used for school purposes;
D. 
The location and boundaries of areas which are on or within 1,000 feet of such school property; and
E. 
The location of all school crossings within the Borough.
