No person or legal entity may at any time in any way partially or
totally obstruct or destroy all or part of the following alleys, all
of which are located within the Borough of Towanda, Pennsylvania:
The alley that runs from the Borough of Towanda-North Towanda Township
line to Pratt Avenue and that is located between U.S. Route 6 and
Route 220 and William Street.
The alley that runs from Spruce Street, where Spruce Street runs
north/south, to William Street and that is located between Packer
Avenue and Spruce Street as Spruce Street runs east/west.
The alley located east of York Avenue that begins along the east
side of York Avenue and that runs in an east/west direction and thence
in a north/south direction to Cherry Street and that is located between
Packer Avenue and Locust Street.
The alley that runs in an east/west direction that begins along
the east side of Third Street and is located east of Third Street
between North Fourth Street and York Avenue.
The alley that runs from Henry Street to Fourth Street and is
located between Ward Avenue and the north side of another alley located
between Ward Avenue and State Street.
The alley that runs from Henry Street to Fourth Street and that
is located between State Street and the south side of another alley
that is located between Ward Avenue and State Street.
The alley that begins along the south side of State Street that
runs in a north/south direction and thence in an east/west direction
to the west side of Main Street.
The alley that runs from Poplar Street to Pine Street and that
is located between Western Avenue and the west side of another alley
that is located between Western Avenue and Third Street.
The alley that runs from Poplar Street to Pine Street and that
is located between Third Street and the east side of another alley
that is located between Western Avenue and Third Street.
The alley that begins along the east side of Main Street and
that runs in an east/west direction to the alley that runs in a north/south
direction and that is located between Bridge Street and Washington
Street.
The alley that begins along the north side of Washington Street
and runs in a north/south direction and that is located between Main
Street and River Street and Bridge Street and Washington Street.
The alley that begins on the east side of Second Street and
that runs in an east/west direction and thence in a north/south direction
to the south side of Franklin Street.
Any alley located within the Borough of Towanda, Pennsylvania, that the Borough Council of the Borough of Towanda, Pennsylvania, designates shall be subject to Chapter 264, Streets and Sidewalks, Article XI, Obstruction and Destruction of Certain Alleys, of the Code of the Borough of Towanda, Pennsylvania.
The aforementioned described alleys are set out in the proposed Official
Street Map, Towanda Borough, Bradford County, Pennsylvania, that was
prepared on behalf of the Towanda Borough Planning Commission by Associated
Planning and Development Services and revised by Northern Tier Regional
Planning and Development Commission July 1993.
If any violation of § 264-41 of the Code of the Borough of Towanda, Pennsylvania, persists in whole or in part for more than 72 hours after the violating party is given written notice by any member of the Towanda Borough Police Department of Towanda, Pennsylvania, that the violation must cease, the continuation of the violation in whole or in part each day thereafter shall constitute a separate actionable violation.
The aforementioned written notice may be given personally or by mail.
Should said notice be given by use of the United States mail, said
notice shall be treated as delivered once the violating party actually
receives said written notice. There shall be a rebuttable presumption
of delivery seven days after the written notice is placed in the United
States mail whenever the written notice is sent to a residence of
the violating party.
Any person or other legal entity who or which violates § 264-41 of the Code of the Borough of Towanda, Pennsylvania, upon conviction, shall be required to pay a fine of $50 and costs.
