The Board of Selectmen for the Town of Hudson resolves to implement that portion of RSA 676:17 which indicates that if any violation of local ordinance, code or regulation or any violation of a Planning Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment or Building Code Board of Appeals decision results in the expenditure of public funds by a municipality which are not reimbursed under Paragraph II of RSA 676:17, the court in its discretion may order, as an additional civil penalty, that a violator make restitution to the municipality for such funds so expended. It is the desire of the Board of Selectmen that the within action constitute the exercise of the election permitted to the local governing body by RSA 676:17 as well as identifying the resolve of the Board of Selectmen to implement any and all sections of RSA 676:17 which provide to the municipalities in the State of New Hampshire authority to enforce local codes and ordinances identified therein.
