A. 
When official signs have been posted designating an area a permit parking area, no person shall park any motor vehicle in any of the permit parking spaces without having a valid Village parking permit sticker and displaying such sticker on such vehicle.
B. 
Application; numbering. Parking permit forms shall be issued by the Lake Placid Police Department in accordance with specifications formulated by the Chief of Police. The permits shall be numbered serially and by license plate number. The Chief of Police shall designate the type of permit and the method of display.
C. 
Issuance; fees; restrictions. The Lake Placid Police Department shall issue parking permits for the parking of vehicles in parking permit areas upon the payment to the Village of a fee as set forth by resolution of the Village Board of Trustees, which may be amended from time to time. Each permit shall be valid for one year of issuance and shall be effective on May 10 of each year. No part of such fee shall be refundable, and no allowance or discount shall be given for any permit issued after the commencement of any period.
D. 
Transferability. Parking permits may be transferred to another motor vehicle upon notification of transfer to the Lake Placid Police Department. Parking permits must be removed from old vehicle and new parking permits attached to the new vehicle by a member of the Lake Placid Police Department and will require payment of an administrative fee in an amount as set from time to time by the Board.

E. 
The Chief of Police reserves the right to revoke any parking permits at any time.

Any person who shall violate or refuse to comply with any of the provisions of this article shall be punished by a fine of $35. If the fine is not paid within 30 days a late charge of $10 will be assessed per violation.
