It shall be unlawful for any person as an employee to handle,
serve, sell or offer for sale in any establishment, including but
not limited to hotels, restaurants, bakeries, potato chip factories
and meat markets, any food or food products except that same be in
a sealed package or container, unless and until such person shall
have been examined by a physician and certified by such physician
to be fit to handle such food in a manner so that disease will not
be transmitted hereby.

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to employ any person and/or permit any person to handle, serve, sell or offer for sale in any establishment, including but not limited to hotels, restaurants, bakeries, potato chip factories and meat markets, any food or food product except that same be in a sealed package or container, unless and until such person to be employed and/or permitted to handle, serve, sell or offer for sale food or food products shall have been examined and certified as stated in §
217-1 hereof.

Each such examination as required by §§
217-1 and
217-2 hereof shall be as prescribed by the Hanover Board of Health.
Upon receipt of a certificate of fitness, as aforesaid, from
the examining physician, the person to whom the certificate is issued
shall file the same, within five days from the date of its issue,
with the Health Officer of the Borough of Hanover.
