The Town of Georgetown prohibits trucks having three or more
axles from using any street, road, alley, or lane within the incorporated
Town limits, except for any such truck going immediately to, or leaving
immediately from, a local delivery within said limits. The effect
of this prohibition on any state-maintained highway is conditioned
upon approval from the Delaware Department of Transportation. For
any other street, road, alley, or lane, the effect of this prohibition
shall be immediate.
The provisions of this article may be enforced by any law enforcement
officer of the Georgetown Police Department. The vehicle operator,
where this violation occurs, will be issued a summons. The base fine
for this violation will be $50 for first offense, and $100 for each
subsequent offense.
