[Adopted as Ch. 7, Art. VIII, of the 1964 Code]
There is hereby created a Zoning Board of Appeals to serve as a board of appeals on zoning matters as provided by statute. Said Board shall consist of seven members to be appointed by the Mayor and the Board of Trustees, one of who shall be named as Chairman.
The members of the Zoning Board of Appeals shall serve for a term of five years, provided that the terms shall be staggered as provided by statute.
A. 
It shall be the duty of the Zoning Board of Appeals to hear and decide, as is provided by statute, any appeal of any decision, order or interpretation by the officer whose duty it is to enforce zoning regulations, and such other powers and duties as may be delegated to it by statute or ordinance, provided it shall have the power to reverse any decision of such officer on a concurring vote of four members as provided by statute.
B. 
The Zoning Board of Appeals shall hear at public hearing after notice, as is provided by statute, any petition for variation of zoning regulation and shall make its findings and conclusions thereon, and shall report to the Mayor and Board of Trustees, in which body power to grant variations shall reside.
