A. The
purpose of this Chapter is to provide rules and regulations for the
recruitment, appointment, employment, discipline, and separation of
employees of the City of Bridgeton.
B. Unless
otherwise provided, this Chapter shall apply to all employees of the
City except elected officials or appointed members of Boards and Commissions.
C. The
adoption of these rules does not preclude the promulgation of additional
rules and regulations by the various departments of the City deemed
necessary due to special operating needs of the particular department.
All such supplemental rules and regulations shall be approved by the
Personnel Director, except those of the Police Department, which rules
shall be approved by the Police Commission, providing the rules do
not conflict with the provisions of this Chapter.
