This Chapter shall be known and may be cited as "The Pesticide Code."

When used in this Chapter the following words shall mean:
CITY
The City of Bridgeton, Missouri.
DDT
Dichlorodiphenyl trichloroethane.
MANUFACTURE
The process of making by hand or machinery.
PERSON
Any individual, firm, co-partnership, corporation, company, association, joint stock association, and including any trustees, receiver, assignee or personal representatives thereof.
SINGULAR AND PLURAL
Words used in the singular number shall include the plural and in the plural the singular.

It shall be unlawful for any person to manufacture any chemical insecticide, herbicide, fungicide, rodenticide, or other chemical containing DDT for sale to the public at retail or wholesale; or to manufacture for personal use any chemical insecticide, herbicide, fungicide, rodenticide, or other chemical containing DDT.

From and after the effective date of this Chapter (July 1, 1971) it shall be unlawful for any person to store or to offer for sale any chemical insecticide, herbicide, fungicide, rodenticide or other chemical containing DDT.

From and after the effective date of this Chapter (July 1, 1971) it shall be unlawful for any person to use any chemical insecticide, herbicide, fungicide, rodenticide or other chemical containing DDT for any purpose whatsoever.

Any person found guilty of violating the provisions of this Chapter shall upon conviction thereof be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or by imprisonment not exceeding three (3) months or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each use, sale, or every day of storage or manufacture shall constitute a separate offense.
