No establishment licensed for the sale of alcoholic beverages
shall contain an entrance or exit that directly connects to another
business premises which is not part of the area described in the license
application.
The City of Camden Municipal Board of Alcoholic Beverage Control
may grant exceptions to this restriction to hotels, supermarkets or
other business establishments where after a hearing it determines
that the connection to an adjoining business establishment will not
impair the ability of law enforcement to regulate the licensed establishment
and that the interconnection of the two businesses will not create
potential for circumstances and events that would be contrary to the
provisions and intent of the laws and regulations governing establishments
licensed to sell or dispense alcoholic beverages.
Nothing contained herein shall be construed to affect or alter
any zoning regulations or any provision of the Fire Code or the Property
Maintenance Code. To the extent that, on the effective date of this article,
any licensed establishment provides a second means of egress required
by the Fire Code through an adjacent business, and this means of egress
cannot be replaced without significant cost, the establishment may
continue to use the means of egress.
