It is hereby determined and declared that certain specific areas, commonly referred to as "parklands," as designated below, should be areas free from the noise and usual activity associated with the playing of certain games, and that the area bounded by Penn Street on the north, Cooper Street on the south, Second Street on the east and Front Street on the west, shown on Plan No. 220-1 on file in the office of the City Engineer, City of Camden, New Jersey, commonly known as "Johnson Park," is such an area, and that the area bounded by Whitman Avenue on the north, Everett Street on the south, Louis Street on the east and Rose Street on the west, shown on Plan No. 2217-7-22 on file in the office of the City Engineer, City of Camden, New Jersey, commonly known as "Whitman Park," is such an area, and that the area at the intersection of Kearsarge Avenue, Alabama Avenue, West America Road, East America Road and Yorkshire Road, shown on Plan No. 3653-1-22 on file in the office of the City Engineer, City of Camden, New Jersey, commonly known as "Yorkship Square," is such an area, and that the provisions of this article are necessary for the public interest.
There shall be prohibited in the areas referred to above the playing of all ball games, including, but not restricted to, baseball, football, soccer, tennis and basketball.

Unless otherwise provided in the chapter, penalties against persons violating the provisions of this article shall be imposed in accordance with the provisions of § 1-15.
