[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Lincoln Park 11-12-1991 by Ord. No. 1,032 as Ch. 54 of the 1991 Code. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The Registrar of Vital Statistics of the Borough, under the supervision of the Director of the Department of Health, shall keep a record of all marriages, births and deaths and shall grant permits for burial or disinterment of bodies and shall report to the Director of the Department of Health and State Department of Health as may be required by law.
Every person or religious society, institution or organization solemnizing a marriage in the Borough shall, within five days thereafter, transmit to the Registrar of Vital Statistics of the Borough the marriage license.

The physician, midwife or person acting as midwife in attendance at the birth of any child born in the Borough and, in case there is no physician or midwife or person acting as midwife in attendance upon the birth, then the father or mother of the child or the manager or superintendent of the public or private institution in which the birth occurred shall submit via the Vital Information Platform (VIP), within five days after the date of the birth, all particulars concerning the birth required by the State Health Department and/or Bureau of Vital Statistics of the state.[2]
