For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall
have the meanings indicated:
FIREARM
Any pistol, revolver, shotgun, rifle, air gun, bow and arrow,
weapon or any similar instrument from which any shot, bullet or other
missile is propelled.
The discharge, firing or use of any firearm at any place whatsoever
in the Borough of Lincoln Park is hereby specifically prohibited,
except for the purpose of hunting. This section shall not be intended
to include any person who shall discharge a firearm in the performance
of his duty if such person is authorized to discharge such firearm
either by reason of his membership in any police department or other
law enforcement agency or if such person is a peace officer or other
person authorized by law to carry and discharge firearms in the carrying
out of his duties, nor shall this section prohibit the shooting or
discharging of any firearm at a legally established rifle, pistol,
trap, skeet or archery range or bow fishing at and into any body of
water, nor shall this section prohibit the shooting or discharge of
firearms upon lands duly qualified for farmland exemption, pursuant
to N.J.S.A. 54:4-23.1 et seq., by the property owner or tenant of
such lands for the purpose of protecting growing crops, horticulture,
fowl or livestock from poaching animals or diseased animals or rodents.
All hunters shall seasonally be required to first register with
the Borough of Lincoln Park, and such registration shall provide information
respecting the name, address, hunting license number and driver's
license plate number, if any, of each person, together with other
data as shall be required by the Borough Administrator.

All hunters shall secure a hunting firearms discharge permit from the Borough Clerk. Said permit shall be valid for a term of one year, commencing on October 1 and terminating on September 30. The annual fee for such permit shall be as provided in Chapter
34, Fees, §
34-7.
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 23:4-16:
A. No person
shall, for the purpose of hunting, taking or killing any wildlife,
cast an arrow or discharge any firearm from or across any state, county,
municipal, or publicly travelled road or highway.
B. No person,
except the owner or lessee of the building and persons specifically
authorized by him in writing, which writing shall be in the person's
possession, shall, for the purpose of hunting, taking or killing any
wildlife, have in his possession a loaded firearm while within 450
feet of any occupied building in the Borough, or of any school playground. For
the purposes of this subsection, "occupied building" means any building
constructed or adapted for overnight accommodation of a person, or
for operating a business or engaging in an activity therein, whether
or not a person is actually present.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter, upon conviction
thereof, shall be subject to a civil penalty of not less than $100
nor more than $300 for the first offense, and not less than $300 nor
more than $1,500 and permanent revocation of all license certificates
required, and all privileges, to take or possess wildlife for each
subsequent offense.
