The general City election for the elective officers shall be
held on the first (1st) Tuesday in April, 1954, and every year thereafter.

A. Declaration Of Candidacy. All nominations for elective City
offices shall be made in person by the person seeking the office by
appearing before the City Clerk and declaring his or her intentions.
B. Filing Fee. All nominees shall be required to pay to the
City Clerk a filing fee of ten dollars ($10.00) before his or her
name can appear on the ballot.
C. Affidavit Of Tax Payments And Bonding Requirements. Each
nominee seeking an elective office in the City of Peculiar shall file
with the Missouri Department of Revenue an affidavit stating the individual
is not delinquent on state income taxes, personal property taxes,
municipal taxes or real estate taxes. A copy of said affidavit must
accompany the Declaration of Candidacy.
The uniform filing period for elective Municipal Officers will
be as follows:
Opens at 8:00 A.M. on the fourteenth (14th) Tuesday prior to
the election and closes at 5:00 P.M. on the ninth (9th) Tuesday prior
to the election.
