The following officers shall be elected by the qualified voters
of the City of Peculiar, Missouri, to wit: Mayor, Board of Aldermen.

The term of office of the Mayor shall be two (2) years; of each
member of the Board of Aldermen, two (2) years.

At the first (1st) general election of the City, to be held
on the first (1st) Tuesday in April, 1954, the Aldermen receiving
the highest number of votes in each Ward shall hold his office for
two (2) years and the person receiving the next highest number of
votes in each Ward shall hold his office for one (1) year, but thereafter
each Ward shall elect annually one (1) Alderman who shall hold his
office for two (2) years.
