[Ord. No. 2118 §§1 —
3, 8-18-2008]
A. The
Land Use Administrator is authorized to grant the use of a temporary
residence within any zoning district, provided it meets the requirements
of this Section. The Land Use Administrator may require certain conditions
be met as are reasonable and necessary for protection of public health,
safety and traffic under the circumstances.
B. Construction trailers used on development sites shall be removed within thirty (30) days of the completion of the project. Construction trailers shall be used for operational needs of the contractor during the development of the project and shall not be used as a temporary residence as delineated in Subsection
(C) below. Construction trailers will be removed from the site if development activities have either not commenced for that particular phase of development within thirty (30) days or development work has ceased for thirty (30) days or longer. Unattended or unoccupied construction trailers will be treated and considered a nuisance.
C. Temporary
residences to be occupied during the construction, repair or renovation
of a permanent residential dwelling on site shall be permitted for
not more than six (6) months after the date the temporary residence
was needed, except that the Land Use Administrator may renew such
permit for an additional period not to exceed six (6) months if he
determines that such renewal is reasonably necessary to allow the
proposed occupants of the permanent residential dwelling to complete
the construction, repair, renovation or restoration work necessary
to make such building habitable.
