[CC 1976 §6-47]
The owner of any pet impounded under the provisions of this
Article, which pet is wearing a vaccination tag or if the owner can
be identified and located by any other reasonable means, shall be
notified within twelve (12) hours that such pet has been impounded.
[CC 1976 §6-49]
The owner of any pet which has not been vaccinated, upon satisfactory
proof of ownership, may redeem his pet by making a deposit of ten

of a Certificate of Vaccination, the deposit shall be refunded.
[CC 1976 §6-50]
If the owner of any pet impounded under this Article shall fail
to redeem his pet within five (5) days after such impoundment, any

redeem such pet from the pound and be the lawful owner of such pet
thereafter.
No pet shall be disposed of prior to five (5) days of impoundment.
All pets shall be disposed of after five (5) days of impoundment,
unless impounded for a longer specified time. The poundmaster may
dispose of such pets prior to five (5) days if said animal's health
requires such. All pets shall only be disposed of by humane means.
