The division of the City into eight wards is hereby reaffirmed and, until alteration shall be made by the Municipal Council, the boundaries thereof shall be established as follows:

Article II Registrars of Voters

§ 28-2 Assistant to the Registrars.

There shall be created the position of Assistant to the Board of Registrars of Voters who shall be appointed by the Board of Registrars of Voters to a three-year term and who shall be a resident of, and a registered voter in, the City of Taunton. The Assistant to the Registrars shall possess computer proficiency, the ability to manage and train personnel, and the ability to communicate effectively with the public.

Duties and responsibilities shall be as follows:

Operate computer system as it relates to the "Motor Voter Law."

Record nomination and petition papers and assist the Board in certifying names.

Train and instruct the junior clerk in office procedures.
