It is unlawful for any person to use or cause to be used an
electrical or mechanical device or attachment to a telephone that
automatically reports a taped or other recorded message of a fire
emergency directly to fire headquarters without first obtaining a
permit for such installation or connection from the head of the Fire
Department.
Each such nonpermit call shall be deemed a separate violation
punishable as a misdemeanor.
Any permit for such connection or installation may be revoked
for cause at any time by the head of the Fire Department.
A fee of $25 for the permit (one time only) will be used to
connect a special incoming telephone reserved only for this purpose.
