A majority of the legal voters of the City of California voting
at an election on May 29, 1906, voted in favor of an ordinance and
proposition, and after proclamation of the Mayor, the City of California
was declared a City of the Fourth Class to be organized and incorporated
under the provisions of the general law of the State of Missouri providing
for the government of Cities of the Fourth Class.
