No permit shall be issued for the construction or installation
of any main by a private individual, firm or corporation unless there
is an enforceable agreement on the part of the person, firm or corporation
constructing said main, well, tank, hydrant or any other part of a
water system, granting to the Township a permanent easement of at
least 15 feet in width for the purpose of maintaining, operating,
repairing and restoring said main, in a form approved by the Township
Attorney.
All privately constructed mains and service lines designed to become part of the Township water system shall be constructed under the supervision of the Township Engineer. The design materials and workmanship shall be the same as those set forth under Article

All mains, service lines and house connections shall be tested in accordance with the provisions of Article
II herein.
Where the opening of streets is required for installation of
new mains and/or services, there shall be compliance with the Street
Opening Ordinance and all other applicable ordinances of the Township at
the owner's expense.
All permits issued for the construction of any water main or
service lines as outlined in this Part 1 shall expire one year from
the date of issue. Said permit can be renewed for an additional one-year
period upon payment of 50% of the permit fee and adherence to all
current standards.
