This article will give the Town of Algoma the ability to regulate and control the building permit process, ensuring that all permits are secured and conditions met before building commences.
A. 
No individual or contractor shall construct or maintain any driveway, culvert or work within the right-of-way in the Town of Algoma until the proper Town of Algoma permits have been issued.
B. 
An erosion control permit shall have been secured from Winnebago County prior to the issuance of any Town of Algoma permit.
C. 
No Town of Algoma building permit will be issued and no building or excavation will be allowed until the Town of Algoma Driveway, Culvert and Work Within Right-of-Way Permits and Winnebago County Erosion Control Permit (if necessary) have been issued and the conditions of said permits met.
A. 
The Town of Algoma Driveway, Culvert and Work Within Right-of-Way Permits shall contain all of the parameters necessary to construct or repair a driveway and work within the right-of-way in the Town of Algoma.
B. 
All required fees will be found on the Town of Algoma Driveway, Culvert and Work Within Right-of-Way Permits and the Town of Algoma Fee Schedule.[1]

C. 
The Driveway, Culvert and Work Within Right-of-Way Permits shall lapse and be void if work has not commenced within 90 days of the date of issuance.
D. 
If any building or excavation begins prior to the issuance of the Driveway, Culvert and Work Within Right-of-Way Permits, it shall be halted immediately and cannot commence until the proper permits are obtained. The application fee shall be increased to twice what it would have been if timely application had been made.
