There is hereby adopted by the Borough Council of West Conshohocken, for the purpose of setting applicable standards with respect to construction and fire safety, subject to modifications and amendments hereinafter provided by the Borough, that code known as the "International Fire Code, 2009 Edition," as published by the International Code Council, Inc., and any subsequent revision thereof which coordinates with the revision of the ICC codes adopted under the Pennsylvania Construction Code, Act 45 of 1999, 35 P.S. §§ 7210.101 through 7210.1103, which is amended from time to time and shall automatically be incorporated herein by reference with each revision of the International Fire Code, save and except such portions of the International Fire Code as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended, and except such portions as are inconsistent with any of the express provisions of this chapter, and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set forth at length herein and the standards and terms of said Code are incorporated herein as if fully set forth at length. Three copies are on file in the Borough Hall, being marked and designated as the International Fire Code, 2009 Edition, as published by the International Code Council, which is hereby adopted as the Fire Code of West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, for regulating and governing the safeguarding of life and property from fire and explosion hazards arising from storage, handling, and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the occupancy of buildings and premises as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions, and terms of said Fire Code on file in the Borough Hall are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this chapter, with the additions, insertions, deletions, and changes, if any, prescribed in § 56-12.1 of this chapter.
The International Fire Code, 2009 Edition, as published by the International Code Council, is hereby revised as follows:
A. 
The International Fire Code § 101.1 is supplemented to read: "The Borough of West Conshohocken."
B. 
The penalties and fines, as referenced in the Fire Code §§ 109.3 and 111.4, shall be in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Borough Code and the West Conshohocken Borough Code, Chapter 53A, Fines, Penalties and Attorneys' Fees.
C. 
The Fire Code § 3404.2.9.6.1 is supplemented to read: "The storage of Class I and II liquids in the aboveground tanks outside of buildings is prohibited in all residential districts."
D. 
The Fire Code § 3406.2.4.4 is supplemented to read: "The storage of Class I and II liquids in the aboveground tanks outside of buildings is prohibited in all residential districts."
E. 
The Fire Code § 3506.2 is supplemented to read: "The storage of flammable cryogenic fluids in stationary containers outside of buildings is prohibited in all residential districts."
F. 
The Fire Code § 3804.2 is supplemented to read: "The storage of liquefied petroleum gas for the protection of heavily populated or congested areas, the aggregate capacity of any one installation shall not exceed a water capacity of 2,000 gallons (7,570L) in all residential districts."
G. 
The following appendixes of the International Fire Code, 2009 Edition (or applicable iteration), are specifically adopted:
