This R-2 Residential, Single-Family District is composed of
medium density single-family residential areas in the Village where
medium density single-family residential development has occurred
or appears likely to occur. The regulations for this R-2 District
are designed to protect and stabilize the essential characteristics
of these areas and to promote and encourage a suitable and safe environment
for family life. To these ends, development is restricted to medium
density single-family residential use, where adequate facilities and
services will be provided.

In the R-2 Residential, Single-Family District, the following
uses are permitted:
A. Single-family dwellings and the accessory structures and uses normally
auxiliary thereto.
C. Publicly owned and operated buildings and uses, including community
buildings and public parks, playgrounds and other recreational areas.
D. Signs, when in accordance with the provisions of Chapter
370, Signs, of this Code.

The following special land uses may be permitted in an R-2 Residential,
Single-Family District:
A. Any special land use permitted in the CP Conservation-Preservation
District.
B. Residential care facility.
C. Hospital or medical clinic, excluding veterinary hospitals.
Except as elsewhere specified, the lot, yard and area requirements in an R-2 Residential, Single-Family District shall be as specified in §
475-118.
