Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery has been turned over to the
Town of Arbor Vitae, and is hereby accepted by the Town of Arbor Vitae
as a municipal cemetery to be regulated and controlled by the Town
of Arbor Vitae, Vilas County, State of Wisconsin and is hereinafter
known as the "Sunset Memorial Gardens Municipal Cemetery."
The general administration of the Sunset Memorial Gardens Municipal
Cemetery shall be vested in a Cemetery Commission consisting of four
members, which members will be appointed by the Town Board of Arbor
Vitae for an indefinite term. The Cemetery Commission shall consist
of four members from the Town of Arbor Vitae, Vilas County. Questions
of public policy or legislation affecting the cemetery shall be at
all times subject to and approved by the Arbor Vitae Town Board. Any
and all vacancies that may arise from time to time shall be filled
by the Town Board of the Town of Arbor Vitae.
The Cemetery Commission, after appointment, shall proceed to
elect from its membership a Chairman, Secretary-Treasurer and a Sexton.
The terms of office shall be indefinite and continued until changed
by the Cemetery Commission.
The Chairman shall be the principal executive officer and shall
in general supervise and control all of the business and affairs of
the Commission. The Chairman shall preside at all meetings of the
Commission.
The Secretary-Treasurer shall keep the minutes of all meetings,
see that all notices are duly given in accordance with Wis. Stats.
or ordinances that control the Commission, and be custodian of all
records.
The Sexton shall keep an accurate record of all burials, lot
ownership, individual graves, cemetery lot sales and a complete record
of all lots comprising the Sunset Memorial Gardens Municipal Cemetery.
The Cemetery Commission shall be responsible to draft a current
set of rules and regulations for Sunset Memorial Gardens Municipal
Cemetery to be approved by the Arbor Vitae Town Board.
