The Village Central Business District is the traditional center
of the Village. It is a complex area that must provide space for retailing,
offices, transportation facilities, public services and both vehicular
and pedestrian movement. Because the area is of historic and aesthetic
importance to the Village, and because there is very little vacant
land and parking is a serious problem, it is essential that changes
in use and occupancy receive careful review.
