[HISTORY: Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Browntown 10-11-2005 by Ord. No. 2005-01. Amendments noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to § 62.23(2) and (3), Wis. Stats., for cities, villages, and towns exercising Village powers under § 60.22(3) of the Wisconsin Statutes, the Village of Browntown is authorized to prepare and adopt a Comprehensive Plan as defined in §§ 66.1001(1)(a) and 66.1001(2) of the Wisconsin Statutes.
The Village Board of the Village of Browntown, Wisconsin, has adopted written procedures designed to foster public participation in the preparation of a Comprehensive Plan as required by § 66.1001(4)(a) of the Wisconsin Statutes.
The Planning Commission of the Village of Browntown, by a majority vote of the entire Commission recorded in its official minutes, has adopted a resolution recommending to the Village Board the adoption of the document entitled "Village of Browntown Comprehensive Plan," containing all of the elements specified in § 66.1001(2) of the Wisconsin Statutes.
The Village has held at least one public hearing on this chapter, in compliance with the requirements of § 66.1001(4)(d) of the Wisconsin Statutes.
The Village Board of the Village of Browntown, Wisconsin, does, by enactment of this chapter, formally adopt the document entitled "Village of Browntown Comprehensive Plan" pursuant to § 66.1001(4)(c) of the Wisconsin Statutes.
This chapter shall take effect on October 11, 2005, upon passage by a majority vote of the members-elect of the Village Board and posted as required by law.
