The City Council shall, by majority vote, elect an individual
to serve as the City Auditor. Such individual shall be a person especially
fitted by education, experience and training to perform the duties
of the office. The City Auditor shall be elected for a term of not
more than three years and until a successor is qualified, unless sooner
removed.
The City Auditor oversees the books and accounts of all officers
and agencies of the City.
In accordance with Chapter
72, Article
I, Job Classifications and Salaries, §
72-1, official salary schedules shall be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk.
