The Township hereby adopts the Official Map of the Township
of Silver Spring, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
The Official Map includes selected road improvements, park sites,
historic resource sites, school sites, park and recreation sites.
The properties depicted as proposed property for acquisition
for public purposes shall be reserved for future taking or acquisition
for public purposes in perpetuity until actually acquired by the Township.
The Township may initiate surveys of property locations for
the purposes of taking action to acquire.
Whenever land and easements are to be acquired pursuant to the
Official Map, boundary descriptions by metes and bounds shall be made
by a licensed surveyor.
The Township directs that under adoption of the ordinance, a
copy of the Official Map of the Township of Silver Spring, verified
by the Board of Supervisors, shall be submitted to the Recorder of
Deeds of the County of Cumberland to be recorded within 60 days of
the effective date hereof.
Time limitations on reservations for future takings shall be
in accordance with Article IV of the Municipalities Planning Code
(Act 247 of 1968, as amended).
This chapter shall become effective in accordance with the provisions
of the Code for Townships of the Second Class of the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania.
