WHEREAS, municipalities are faced with exorbitant storage fees
for storage of abandoned and unclaimed motor vehicles; and
WHEREAS, storage fees have been permitted to accumulate far
in excess of the value of any of these vehicles; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to set reasonable limitations on these
storage fees for the important public purpose of sustaining local
fiscal soundness;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Waldwick as follows:
